Admissions

Clients: Berkshire Meadows is approved for all ages.

Critera: Conditions including, but not limited to:

   

  • severe retardation resulting from birth trauma, head injury or congenital syndromes such as Rett's, Cornelia de Lange, and Cri du Chat;
  • respiratory, gastrointestinal, and other systemic malfunctioning;
  • orthopedic disorders such as scoliosis, kyphosis, hip dysplasia;
  • neurological disorders, including those involving complex seizures;
  • autism, schizophrenia, clinical depression, attention deficit disorder, bi-polar disorder.

Should you then decide to apply, you will be requested to provide a referral packet, including current medical and neurological assessments, relevant hospital records, and a current treatment plan if any.

Our Admissions Committee will review the referral packet, and if our program seems to be appropriate for the applicant we will invite the family and the student for a preplacement interview.

Once a student is accepted, detailed arrangements will be made with family members to make his or her transition into our program as smooth as possible.
